The YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center has been operating since 2017 under the leadership of Director, Professor N. Harutyunyan. The center houses the Pedagogy Department, one of the oldest departments at YSU, which was established in 1921. The center offers a three-tier educational system, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Since the 2016-2017 academic year, the center has implemented a new teacher qualification system in several faculties at YSU. As part of this, students receive professional qualifications and a teacher qualification through a new "240+30" credit system approved by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
