New Partnership with YSU Pedagogy and Education Development Center
On March 26, a formal signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding occurred between the Center for Educational Research and Consulting and the Pedagogy and Education Development Center of Yerevan State University (YSU).
This memorandum marks the beginning of new research projects, conferences, events, and seminars. Both parties will develop and implement new educational programs, organize discussions and conferences, promising new opportunities in the field of educational research. Within the framework of this collaboration, studies and professional discussions will be held regarding the implementation process of new educational standards in general education.
The Pedagogy and Education Development Center has been operating since 2017 under the leadership of Director, Professor N. Harutyunyan. The center houses the Pedagogy Department, one of the oldest departments at YSU, established in 1921. The center offers a three-tier educational system, including undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. Since the 2016-2017 academic year, the center has implemented a new teacher qualification system in several faculties at YSU. As part of this, students not only receive professional qualifications but also obtain a teacher qualification through a new "240+30" credit system approved by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
Our center started collaborating with the Pedagogy and Education Development Center back in 2022, when the annual conference of the European Educational Research Association (EERA - European Educational Research Association), the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER), was held at YSU. Our center’s expert team authored articles that were published in the “Education in the 21st Century” scientific-methodological international peer-reviewed journal, which is managed by the Pedagogy and Education Development Center.
This new collaboration opens up exciting opportunities for students, faculty members, and experts in education and science to engage in innovative research and professional development. The partnership will allow for active participation in new educational programs, seminars, and conferences, creating an enriching environment for both academic and practical advancement.
