Updates on International Youth Day

August 12 is International Youth Day.

On this occasion, we would like to share important resources and news.

Within the framework of the “Support to the Monitoring, Implementation and Communication of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA)” project, a monitoring of reforms implemented in several areas under the CEPA was conducted. Marina Galstyan from our center conducted a monitoring of Article 95 of the CEPA, focusing on the educational programmes of youth workers. The report is available in Armenian and in English.
Reports, policy and advocacy briefs on other areas - education, employment and others - are also available.

On August 5-7, we participated in the Armenian National Youth Forum. The second forum was attended by about 800 Armenian young people and youth sector representatives, experts, from Armenia and the Diaspora, from more than 50 countries.

During the three days, discussions of various formats took place (panel discussions, lectures, and roundtable discussions).
The thematic areas of the discussions were:
—Armenian traditions
—modern Armenian narratives
—national music
—the role of young people in the processes of expanding Armenian influence
—political and civic engagement of young people
—youth leadership
—international experience of youth policy
—the role of young people in the business environment
—online representation
—Armenia-Diaspora strategic cooperation in the youth sector and other important topics.

It was interesting to get acquainted with young people, students and researchers in the youth sector from Armenia and the Diaspora.
