Expert and Consultative Meetings within the Project Armenian Youth in Post-War Armenia

Within the framework of the project “Armenian Youth in Post-War Armenia: Research and Discourse”, we held a series of expert and consultative meetings aimed at making the research process participatory and comprehensive.

The goal of these meetings was to create a joint platform of knowledge and policy by bringing together diverse stakeholders to analyse, from multiple perspectives, the challenges, opportunities, and capacities related to youth.

The meetings brought together representatives of:

- the academic community specialising in youth studies,

- civil society organisations,

- international organisations,

- state institutions responsible for shaping youth policy.

During the discussions, the importance of the following research questions within the project framework was emphasised:

- How do post-war events affect young people’s identity, value systems, and perceptions of the future?

- What political and educational tools are needed to foster youth potential?

- What role can young people play in strengthening participatory democracy?

- What are the specific patterns of information consumption among youth?

Since the project seeks not only to generate scientific knowledge but also to foster discourse where youth voices are combined with those of experts and decision-makers, this format of meetings enables a deeper understanding of youth needs and contributes to the development of policy responses tailored to the realities of the post-war context.

We express our gratitude to all partner organisations and individual experts for their participation and valuable input. We will continue to hold such meetings.

To ensure the active participation of young people in research, we invite young researchers to join our research team.

"Armenian Youth in Postwar Armenia: Research and Discourse" project is being implemented with support by Armenian Communities Department of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
